Last 2 Thank Yous...

Here are the last 2 Thank You cards from my card class.

I love the colors in the first card ~ Kraft, Whisper White, and Barely Banana. I always have such a hard time using Soft Subtles but this combination really looked better than I thought ~ throw in a little Chocolate Chip & it's perfect!! Isn't everything better with a little Chocolate Chip!! ~ that's always the color I'm almost out of! What about you?

Thank you to Jackie Pedro for the inspiration! Her card wasn't made using a Stampin' Up! stamp...but it's so easy to take an idea someone else has and adapt it to at least one of Stampin' Up!'s stamps...

Supplies:
Stamps: Dream a Little, Thank You Kindly
Cardstock: Kraft, Whisper White, Barely Banana
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Scallop Edge punch, Organza Ribbon, Button Latte Designer Buttons

The second card was basically a copy of a card done by Christine Creations ~ but I didn't have that polka dot ribbon she used so I changed it to polka dot paper. Plus I skipped out on the paper piercing and brads ~ I had to simplify so my customers could get more cards done while they were here ~ especially since this class was all about stocking up on Thank You cards! Check out the background on the top half of the card ~ I love adding just a touch of Versamark to create a background...adds so much to a card without overdoing it ~ especially when it's a repeat of the stamp you're using on the card!

Supplies:
Stamps: Soft Summer, Thank You Kindly
Cardstock: Bella Rose DSP, Not Quite Navy, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Not Quite Navy, Versamark
Accessories: Eyelet Border punch, Sponges, Chocolate Chip 1/2" Library Clip, Chocolate Chip Taffeta ribbon

Thanks for stopping by!!

Gone Fishing...

Hi, all! I've gone to Dollywood for the day with my kids and Mom, but will be back this evening. I'm hoping I can post another card or project tonight, but if not, I will tomorrow! Thanks!

You can never have enough...

Thank You cards. This is another Thank You card we did last week. This was a super-simple card to put together and it has such a nice effect. You just emboss using White Craft Ink and White Embossing Powder for your line image on dark card stock...you could easily change stamps with this idea ~ doing another kind of flower or even a swirled design. The Eyelet Border punch adds so much to a card ~ no need to add ribbon since it's so fancy by itself. Use the Key Tag punch to punch out your sentiment ~ so many of our stamps fit right into our punches making it quick & easy to make a tag.

Hope you like it!

Supplies:
Stamps: Echoes of Kindness, Sincere Salutations
Cardstock: Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss, Whisper White
Ink: Whisper White Craft, Always Artichoke
Accessories: Eyelet Border punch, Key Tag punch

More Thank You!

Another Thank You from my Give Thanks Card Class...

I thought this card turned out so fun and Spring looking. I just stamped the tree from Trendy Trees 3 times, tied a piece of ribbon around it, added a few layers and it's done! Some of my customers chose to use some of the other trees and used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line them up. Such a great little set ~ you can really do a lot with it! Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks!

Supplies:
Stamps: Trendy Trees
Cardstock: Good Morning Sunshine DSP, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Word Window punch, Large Oval punch, Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon

Progressive Scrapbook Page

Here is a Progressive Scrapbook Page using the Bella Rose DSP. When I say Progressive Scrapbook Page, do you know what I mean??

It means that the scrapbook page starts out as a 6X6 page, which you can incorporate into an 8-1/2X11 page, which can then be incorporated into a 12X12 page. Usually when I have a hostess that wants me to do a scrapbook page for her class, I will do a 6X6 page. But, for the class, I demonstrate to them how they can take that 6X6 page and make it into any size that they might use. I know lots of times I just take what is presented to me ~ in this case a 6X6 page ~ and I think...I'll never use that, it's not the size I scrapbook. But with a few additions, you can take that 6X6 starter page and make whatever size you need.

Hope you like it! Let me know if you have any questions.

Supplies:
Stamps: Inspired by Nature (dormant)
Cardstock: Bella Rose DSP, Riding Hood Red, Old Olive, Pink Pirouette
Ink: Whisper White (craft), Versamark
Accessories: 5/8" Olive Olive Grosgrain ribbon, Button Bouquet Designer Buttons, Linen Thread, Scallop Edge punch

Another Give Thanks...

Here is another one of the Thank You cards we did at my Give Thanks Card Buffet. My guests got the opportunity to try out the Big Shot with this card using the exclusive Stampin' Up! Lots of Tags Sizzlet Die. They cut out the piece of Whisper White using the die, then stamped the Thank You on it in Elegant Eggplant. One thing that I really liked about this card is the fact that it uses the Bella Rose paper which has the colors Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, & Chocolate Chip ~ but, using the Kiwi Kiss with the white dots piece, you're able to match it up with other colors (Elegant Eggplant here!) and it looks great so you get more use out of your paper. Be sure to look at the individual sides of the DSP...not just the pack of paper as a whole!! You might be surprised by what you find...

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies:
Stamps: Thank You Kindly
Cardstock: Bella Rose DSP, Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant
Ink: Elegant Eggplant
Accessories: Big Shot, Stampin' Up! Lots of Tags die, 1-3/4" Circle punch

I've started offering an incentive to all of my customers. If you attend a class (Club Nite excluded), you get your name in a drawing. If you bring a friend (that is not already a customer of mine) to a class, you'll get your name entered again. At the end of the month, I will draw a name and that person will win some FREE product!! So, be sure to check out my class schedule and let me know which classes you want to attend!!

Thanks!! Can't wait to see you at ALL of my classes!!

Give Thanks...

I had a Give Thanks Card Buffet last night and all of the cards centered around...you guessed it ~ Thank You. Here is one of the cards we made. Again...you just can't go wrong with this paper!! So cute! And there's that Scallop Oval Punch again ~ available until June 30! Get it while it lasts!! The stamp set (Oval All) is also in the Occasions mini. The stamp actually has a butterfly on it where I put the brad ~ but I really wanted to use the flower brads with that DSP...perfect match!

One of my club cards...

Here is one of the cards we did this month for Stamp Club. I have to say I'm loving everything in this mini!! We used stamps, paper, and punches from the mini this month on both of our cards.

This card started as a Pacific Point 6-1/2" square, folded in half to create the card base. We used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the boots from Scene in a Garden. I showed them how to do the Spotlight Technique this month on this card ~ remember, you can always color in your "spotlight," or leave the "spotlight" B&W and color in the remaining image. And...you gotta love the new Scallop Oval punch!!

A big "Thank You" to beedubya for the inspiration!

Hope you like it!

Roller Skating?!?

Sorry for the absence this weekend ~ we've had so much going on. I don't know where the past 3 days have gone...Workshop, soccer, birthday parties, Tastefully Simple party, swaps, etc...

How long has it been since you've been roller skating?? Yes...this is me with my 3 yo at the birthday party we went to. It's been years since I've been on skates ~ and today, I'm feeling it!! Sorry for the blurry picture ~ my husband + a camera does not always = the best pictures!! But you can definitely get the idea!

Anyway...on to the sample. Today I'm sharing a scrapbook layout with you (this is from a class I did back in the winter). This is an area I've been trying to focus a little more on. Scrapbooking is the first papercrafting thing that caught my interest years ago and I have thousands of pictures that need to be scrapbooked! So, I decided to start offering a scrapbook class every month ~ that way I'm forced to do at least one layout a month!! Maybe someday I'll get caught up......

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies:
Stamps: Celebrate Everything, Simple Birthday Thanks
Cardstock: Maine Blueberry DSP, Not Quite Navy, Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Confetti White, Riding Hood Red
Ink: Not Quite Navy, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive Craft
Accessories: Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, 2-Way Glue Pen, Crimper, Designer Brads (Circle), On Board Timeless Type Chipboard

(OK...as I'm typing this, I just realized it's retired DSP...but I love the layout and the color combo so I'm sharing anyway!!)

A Card and the last 2 Hawaii Swaps

Here is a card I did for a class several months back...I had the picture in my folder and realized I hadn't shown it yet. I loved how the card folded ~ I had seen this idea from another demonstrator and loved the idea and layout. You cut a regular 5-1/2" X 4-1/4" card (original cardstock cut at 5-1/2" X 8-1/2" and folded), but you score (at 1-1/4" from the fold) and glue the top portion to make the card a 4-1/4" X 4-1/4" Hope you like it, too! Let me know if you have any questions.

Supplies:
Stamps: Swe
et Stems, Baroque Border (wheel)
Cardstock: Raspberry Tart DSP, Rose Red, Cameo Coral, Whisper White

Ink: Old Olive, Rose Red, Cameo Coral, Kiwi Kiss

Accessories: Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon, Scallop Square punch

Quick Post...

Thanks for coming by to see me today! I had one of my club workshops tonight and Bible Study today and wanted to take a quick minute to post my swap for the Occasions Mini...

This was a more difficult card for me to be happy with...it's monochromatic and I'm so NOT monochromatic. But I think I've made my peace with it and I've accepted it ~ it is what it is!!

Hope you like it...Enjoy!

Supplies:
Stamps: Sense of Time
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Naturals Ivory
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Mini Library Clips, 5/16" Jumbo Brads, 1/4" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain, Horizontal Slot punch, Sponge Daubers (for distressing color)

A Card from a Class

I hope you all had a blessed Easter ~ mine was spent with family and friends...so enjoyable and fun!! My husband's aunt does a huge Easter egg hunt where all the kids hunt eggs with fake money in them. They then get to take the money that was in their eggs and go shopping in her "store." In her store are probably a hundred toys ranging in price from $1 or $2 up to around $30. The first gift they buy is for someone else, then they use the rest of their money to buy whatever they want...taking turns from youngest to oldest. We also have a potluck meal together...so nice to sit and catch up with everyone!

I thought I would share a card I did a couple of weeks ago. This is one of the cards I did for my class a couple of Thursdays ago...

I had looked on Splitcoaststampers and found a layout I liked and made a few changes ~ I had several new stampers that came and I wanted to highlight new stamp sets plus the pastels and how you color with Blender Pens along with a basic layout. I think the pastels are one of the best-value products we carry. You get all 48 colors plus the neutrals ~ buy a pack of paper plus the blender pens and either a Basic Black or a Chocolate Chip ink pad with a basic line-art stamp set and you're ready to start creating cards without putting a whole lot of money into it. Then you only have to buy new packs of paper to get different color options since you have all 48 colors in the pastels.

Hope you like it!

Supplies:
Stamps: Soft Summer (Occasions Mini)
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip DSP, Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red, Naturals Ivory
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Chocolate Chip 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Stampin' Pastels, Blender Pens, Corner Rounder punch, Wide Oval punch, Key Tag punch

RAK???

I'm not sure if this is supposed to be called a RAK...but sometimes when I get together with downline, I'll give them an extra card from a class I did, or they'll bring me an extra card ~ always wonderful to add to your sample boards that are set up for classes. This is the card Jamie brought me on Friday when we got together to stamp and I thought I would share it with all of you. I thought it was sooo cute! I love this set ~ Bugs & Kisses (on the Dormant List)! Of course, I have two boys, so I can definitely relate to this. In fact, when I was downstairs working on my class Thursday (for Thursday nite!), my almost-3-year-old came in from right outside and just laid this ugly gray grubby-looking worm down on my table right where I was working, saying "Look!!" EEEWWWWW! I'm just not a bug person ~ at least not those ugly gray grubby-looking ones!! But you've gotta love this set when you have kids that are...

Hope you like it as much as I did!

Supplies:
Stamps: Bugs & Kisses (Dormant List)
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango
Accessories: Black Gingham ribbon, Curly Label punch (from Curly Label Punch Bundle)

Enjoying the day with one of my downline!

My downline Jamie came over today so we could work together on a workshop she has coming up. I haven't seen her in about 5 months ~ she had Mono and other health problems over the winter and we'd been unable to get together...plus she's been unable to do her workshops ~ and like me, she doesn't like to accept help when she needs it (I tried!!) ;D

Anyway, here are the two cards we came up with...

The first is a graduation card. We did the card in her local high school's colors. The card idea came from another one of my downline, Katy (Thanks for the idea, Katy!!). It's got a little pocket on the inside for holding a gift card.

The second is a baby card. Simple layout using Irisdescent Ice EP and White EP...plus punches and Organza Ribbon. The Iridescent Ice was used on the dots ~ I didn't quite catch the *sparkle* effect of the card!

Enjoy!!

Supplies for Graduation Card:
Stamps: Great Grads
Cardstock: Bravo Burgundy, Basic Gray, Whisper White, Patterns Pack DSP II (Level I hostess)
Ink: Going Gray, Bravo Burgundy (Classic Ink and Marker)

Accessories: Whisper White Taffeta ribbon, Large Star punch, Star punch, Ticket Corner punch, Slot punch, Wide Oval punch, Key Tag punch, Clear Rhinestone Brads
, Silver Brads

Supplies for Baby Card:
Stamps: Cute & Cuddly, Polka Dot background stamp (dormant list)
Cardstock: Barely Banana, Summer Sun, Certainly Celery
Ink: Versamark, Whisper White
Accessories: Whisper White Organza ribbon, Scallop Square punch, Slot punch (clip the edge of the folded part of the card and use the hole to thread your ribbon through), Iridescent Ice EP, White EP
